Took it for a quick drive today.
The strut brace has definitely firmed up the front end. Slightly better turn in but the best thing about it, is that it has eliminated an annoying dash squeak I had :D

As for the brake stopper, a little firmer pedal but not much difference at all.

Quick wash today and I fitted the rear strakes as well. Turned out to be a perfect fit on the rear. I only needed a panel clip for each side.

I am going to sell on the front pair of strakes.
If anyone is interested let me know $100 shipped.

I'll put up a for sale thread later on.

I bought these off Gubbo in his part out.
Pretty much an impulse buy as they were already painted my colour.

Mark has just been kind enough to share his wisdom on the matter.

Cheers Mick, it'll be sad to see your lib go but can't wait to see what's next

I had a productive morning today.

I installed a genuine tow bar on the forester. Nothing beats the fit and finish of genuine parts.....

Except maybe the fit of these new floor mats :)

Well on my last day of holidays I thought I would have a crack at fixing my fog light which I've been meaning to do for months.

Before I started that I knocked up some ramps to help get under the car. I've seen a few guys make these now. Very simple and it sure beats just driving up on to timbers that move all over the place.

And now the fog light.

Well I've bitten the bullet and I'm booked in for some Phat treatment.

A new centre diff will be going in the week after next. The lurching and clunking has finally gotten to me :(

My car finally got some Phat treatment this week.

New centre diff. I almost forgot how smooth the car should have been driving. Definitely worth the coin.

Cusco rear sway bar and heavy duty mounts. I was not expecting the change in handling to be so dramatic.
I'm very happy with the result. It's almost like it has put a delay in between turning and then the rear end reacting. It's bliss.
Image

Now this is where things got a little disappoint and confusing.

I have an xforce centre and y-pipe to install. Now phat didn't install this because he said it dosent have a flex pipe/ join to join at the 3rd cat. Being a solid mount it would cause vibration and rattling if he did install it.

Now this where I'm confused as I've never heard of anyone mention this when installing a catback exhaust.

Is this phats way not wanting to install something supplied by me or running out of time or do you genuinely need a flex point in it??

I'm only questioning it as I've never heard any one else mention it before.

Any opinions or advice on this matter ??

I thought I would finish unwrapping the rest of my exhaust as phat had only unwrapped one end of it.

Look what I found. Image

It appears my parts may not be good enough for some one to install. :(

On good note I also found out about my job this week and I get to keep my car ;)
