Only get the CEL (+ limp mode) when starting the car, and having driven for less than 10-15 seconds. Turn the car off and wait 1-2 mins and its gone..

Weird.....

Very big confusion zach :?

Indeed bloody weird. It's since gone away (well for the past few weeks) so who really knows. I was getting CEL + limp mode every 2nd day for a while there.

Zach what I'm getting at is unless you have done an engine swap, you don't have an air pump :/

Newbie - just remove it and blank out the cel for it

Part of your emissions system but meh

Oh.. Haha sorry mate was on a different page. Was just speaking from experience with the Foz guys, not uncommon to blank it off.

Air pump

Postby jaydece » Fri Mar 08, 2013 11:15 pm

don't forget to retain the atmospheric sensor when you do a air pump delete or the car will pick up 1.50bar instead of 1bar and you will run into issues....

Just bumping up this post with a question... I've noticed when the airpump is on, the ECUdataScan "Air fuel ratio" is showing really lean... about 20:1. I am guessing this is a false reading due to the fact the airpump is simply ramming air out the exhaust for "emissions"?

Kind of a stupid thing really... it's not pumping out any less pollution, it's just diluting it. Suppose it makes the fumes less concentrated if breathing it in in a garage or something...

Yeah its lean because its reducing emissions on startup.
Just use that time to warm up the car before proceeding ;)
