Update guys:

Parts were delayed so tune has been pushed out to 12th march

Bought some kw v2 coilovers thanks to Danik - 7kg spring rates front and rear

Now just have to get some camber plates to suit and go from there

Decided to upgrade my intercooler to a plazmaman pro-race series core - should flow a little better and help with some transient boost response too (will need as much of this as I can get with the 3076)

Also upgraded my bov to a tial diaphragm one - should be good

Exhaust upgraded to 3" stainless cat back with 2.5" y pipes too - will be mated to my current tcp quads

Bought some track wheels too - Simmons fr17x7.5

And finally (this has been a long time coming) ordered cusco front sway bar and cusco endlinks

Changing over the accelerator pedal too - putting the spec b metal one in there

Plates are now on the car too :)

New front bar has been painted (although stupid me damaged it slightly just before dropping it off at g88 :angry2: ) - will get it touched up again after the tune.

Only a couple more minor things I would like to do to the car then its pretty much it i think - no more mods - at all!

Getting to the stage where I can say I'm happy with my baby

Lets just hope the motor / tune combo work out well

Wish me luck guys

Mick

Hey justin - The latest is mick at garage 88 is working double time to finish it all by Monday in readiness for the tune :D

Hopefully we will get there. Have changed quite a few parts to make this thing more reliable hopefully.

Really getting itchy now, and a bit nervous too...

At least I know its in the right hands. Would be stressing triple as much if it was with anyone else to be honest, and most likely wouldn't have had the confidence to try and do what we're doing

Actually a quick question for you - my car has been sitting now for about 5 weeks. I had practically a full tank of eflex fuel in there when my old motor blew - do you reckon this would be ok or should I dump and refill with fresh fuel before the tune? It's been indoors the whole time.

It's not about the cost of the fuel (50-60 bucks) but more about the inconvenience of pumping this fuel out and then figuring out what to do with it all

Thoughts??

Benn there and done that..and still riding the itchy/nervous sensation :P

Nice! I totally hear you and totally agree you are in safe hands with g88 and phat gt....cant wait to see what this beast brings to the table :D

Its funny you ask me this question as on the weekend I had jerry cans of E85 and prem 100 that has been sitting in my garage for about 8 months....Prem 100 was flat...couldn't get a proper result....

When I tested the e85 it still registered E85

Safe to say its fine mick! but it wouldnt be a waste to get a new batch eflex and top it up? that might be a idea?

Looking good mate not much longer .
No hard feelings about tony and me putting the motor back in ?

After spending a few more hours looking at this all I can say is hats off to you the amount of work and small details in this car and now this motor to top it off.

Can't wait to see this back on the road
