Confirm your tuner has a definition file to tune the car, some of the 05/06 cars are missing tuning definitions

As my new exhaust set up should be on next week all going well need some views or info on mufflers .

Should be running k2 headers into x force stainless center and y pipe.
Was going to run stock mufflers to keep it a little quieter but I want some noise so if I were to go mufflers for note not deafening what is there. Sti quads. Hks silent powers ? Anything else ?

TCPs sound boss and aren't too loud. STi quads wouldn't be much louder than stock if at all so just for bling really. Xforce are way loud and droney haha.

I would recommend going a bigger center pipe than xforces. I've got a custom exhaust system including headers and a 2.75 inch centre with resonator with straight through mufflers. No drone at all, It just makes sense to go bigger otherwise you are restricting the flow...it's really not that Loud as long as you do it properly

From reading pervious posts, the center and y pipe in stainless cost $275 from bets mufflers..they now list the set for 355! Why would it have gone up? I've tried to track down a set in Perth to see if I can get it cheaper but no one seems to carry them over here...any other options?

Hitechs are a bit louder than stock, comparing them to STI's you'd say they were "deeper", and not as burbly.
1000-3000 is deep, than over 3 it starts to open up, and has a really nice boxer tone. When you take your foot off the accelerator they gargle quickly for a second.

$275 was for mild steel... dont know where you got the stainless steel from :?

but having been through this before, the mild steel systems are coated in VHT (or similar) paint and will last quite some time
