Hello GT World!!

Postby blacksjsgt » Sat Apr 19, 2008 3:06 am

Hi Everyone, I am a newby to the Liberty and GT world. I have just purchased a Liberty GT Spec B (Black).

I am new here but not to subaru, my previous car (currently for sale) is a 230kw atw MY03 wrx and decided to go for something a little more classier and comfortable. Dont get me wrong, i love my rex, but was time to move on after 5 years. I take delivery in approx 2 weeks and wanted to say a big hello and look forward to talking with you guys very soon!

Hello Steve!

Welcome to madhouse!

Oh and welcome to Team Black! Another tab for us please! LOL!

Great choice! Trust me, if you are running that sort of power now, you will soon be chasing it again but riding in a more classier car!

Oh and what state are you from?

Phil.

G'day Steve, and welcome.

Did Subaru make you a trade-in offer on the Rex, or did you assume you'd do much better privately? :)

Hi Guys,

thanks for the big welcome, subaru offered a trade in, but was too offensive to take up. I have been thinking that if i cant sell it, i will keep it as a weekend driver..
link to car with mods for interest (i know my boxer engines hehe)
http://www.wrx.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=48887

As far as the liberty,
First mods:
Front STI Lip
Black STI 18inch Rims (from the rex and STI Liberty)
Grand Taurismo Brembo brakes (from my rex)
AVCR (from the rex)
Knocklink (from the rex)
AVO Top mount
Different exhaust (any suggestions?)
Springs (any suggestions?)
Apexi Pod (from my rex)
ECU (will start with reflash then full ecu - once one is available)

question for you all: where do you get the grill for the liberty that you all have, its the one that is inset and silver around the edges? I think one member put an STI badge in the centre of one of them..

I am in Melbourne, but will definetly be coming to visit Sydney from time to time

I dont think i will mod the engine, or get an FMIC, or turbo etc for this car, it is just way too damn hard to sell it at the end and you lose a shit load of money, i have had my fun, its now time to crrrruuuiiisssee

take care,

Steve

It sounds like you're transferring half the Rex onto your new car! ;)
If you're going up to Sydney, then call in on PHAT GT. He's a member here, and will happily empty all your wallet for lots of goodies.

If you're up there the right time of the month, you can probably meetup with a few members at Hooters... ;)

I think you're referring to the JDM Spec.B honeycomb grille.

Look for chriskan's posts, the one in his signature, right?
