AVO vs Hyperflow TMIC

Can anyone elaborate on these 2 TMIC for 05GT?

Size / Dimensions?
Costs?

Basically which one is better overall?

Essentially they're similar, I've heard problems with Hyperflow TMICs having pressure drop and leaks.

I've also had MAJOR, MAJOR issues with dealing with people from Hyperflow (that's right Steve Hurkett - thanks for replying my emails, and thanks for lying to me that my Samco stuff has arrived when it hasn't!! ) so in short, I'd go for AVO.

So you'd go AVO only based you dealings with Hyperflow without testing the actual product Tangcla?

I based my comments on the Hyperflow TMIC from third-party verification, from someone who recently went from Hyperflow to AVO FMIC.

I'm then adding to it, based on ease of dealing with the manufacturer/supplier, that AVO are a lot nicer to deal with. THey won't tell you something's available when it's not. They won't continually delay you (after you've sent payment, of course) that it's here, it's here...

Heh-heh. Sometimes when 2 similar products are too close to distinguish, it comes down to sales and service as the deciding factor.

With non-moving mechanic parts and pretty much the same dimensions, I'd say performance gains will be very similar. But when trying to get pre and post sales support, I would most likely go for the company that has the better reputation.

Thus Clarence recommended AVO due to his negative experience with HyperFlow, and not the fact that HyperFlow is a better product.

Although I must say that when I hit a snag with my AVO install due to that rubber sleeve, AVO was more than willing to help me resolve the problem when I called them. So I must say my experience with them has been a positive one.

hmm AVO seems the way to go since im considering getting the AVO dump pipe as well.

Yes and no... it does fit under the cover - as long as you trim the bottom part of it, not a major choping job just need a steady hand and sharp knife

Heh-heh. Like netrace said, more of a 'correction' than a mod. Because of the thickness of the top mounts, you'll need to trim either half or all of the inner edges of the engine cover opening.

Did you get the Jenny Craig version of the HyperFlow TMIC? I don't know of any aftermarket top mount that didn't require trimming of the engine cover. There must be a secret install method you know of!

hahaha nah I just don't clip the back engine cover push down thingies in.

The two front one's are in, but the rear two are out.

Had the rear two out for over 2 years and never had a drama, looks exactly the same as stock.

I was thinking of doing that Doesn't it rattle though? mine made this very VERY annoying clapping sound... when the engine cover turkey-slaps against the TMIC
