Japanese car makers collaborate on new sports car for 2011

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

New Toyota designed rear-wheel drive car to be built by Subaru! It should be the other way around if you ask me.

I hope Subaru continue with the AWD concept, if Toyota had made the TRD Aurion an AWD they would of had a winner.

They aint collaborating! Toyota is the major shareholder in FHI.

They are designing cars and stealing Subaru's great ideas. LOL!

Is 16.5% the major shareholder? Funny company set-up of that the case.

A lot of small shareholders means the company has the potential to be pulled in so many different directions.

Phil, are you sure that Toyota is the major shareholder?

Without going into detail in how Japanese firms are structured (look up keiretsu), 16.5% is a sizeable amount.

Major shareholders are banks and suppliers, they don't work on a firm structure like the Western system :)

The website still maintains it's 'a collaboration between Toyota and Subaru', nothing about Toyota being the major stakeholder in Fuji.

The information isn't new... I think I read in Option mag last year, regarding a coupe concept car in collaboration. Personally I'm keen to see another RWD car produced. AWD isn't the be all and end all.

Now the current majority shareholder, Toyota pursued Fuji in 2005 after General Motors ended its stake in the company.

Are you sure you past the second paragraph Bob?
