Keen to get a tune. Please keep us in mind when you're coming to Perth. Friend of mine is also interested.

Dont. :?

?

Erratic tunes and zero communication when something is wrong.

Tunes to what he thinks is best, not to what you actually ask for.

I had a near miss accident when my car went into limp when pulling into flowing 70km/h traffic. I was only on half throttle, didnt even floor it.....

PM'd Matt, PM has been read, no response.

Very poor form, although he was happy to take the money.

Cheers mate, although I doubt it.

I would like my money back so I can get a proper tune, but Matt doesnt respond well to negative feedback so I highly doubt it.

I would just like his ability to arrange tunes via Kido and the forums shut down.

If he cant tune a stock standard 2.0T with a dump and mufflers, then seriously........

Very different experience to me. Matt has been very helpful and my Lib is 100% better than stock. Better fuel, better performance and easier to drive
Hope you get it sorted

It seems Matt is a bit hit and miss across all forums.

The pita thing is the ones he misses, he just doesnt seem to care or respond to emails/messages/pm's.

The first retune all I did was add a 3" centre, thats where the trouble started. Limp mode at 1/2 throttle overtaking 5km's after a retune. Back to him, alledgedly fixed. Everyday after, limp mode as it down shifted, not to mention hitting rev limiter in first when pushed before changing to second (auto).

Rang him, said he would send a fix to Sharpie "that" night........ 2 weeks later he sent the fix, which was just to not ask for 100% throttle and the car drove like shit feeling doughy off the line, which has now turned out to be not a fix at all.

He cuts corners, I never wanted a power tune, I wanted a reduction in the auto shift lag and better throttle response and gear shifts for around town ONLY!

He tuned for power "apparently" as my issues show, but it only made 3kw more on the same dyno as stock?????????? And my fuel consumption is shit, the same as stock.

My car is maintained to a level beyond most on here so I know its not me or the car.

Hey Mark when did you get the tune done. My mate had his done last friday and it also has been going into limp mode. P0607 error. Although he disabled the code so you only get the cruise flashing :? There is something he is doing in the tune to cause this. My mate said it happened on the night of the tune. Twice. Each time Matt fiddled with the tune and it seemed to go away. Then a couple of days later his missus was going to work and it did it. She almost freaked

Basically the ECU has hit a condition outside its programming (so to speak) and as a failsafe goes into limp mode. But if you are trying to pull out into traffic and it happens then it could be a life threatening situation.

I think Matt will get back to you. He's probably out tuning and hasn't had time to get back to you. My understanding is that he did 20+ tunes last weekend. Nice little earner ;-)

I, along with quite a few others, have been getting P0607 code with varying reasoning behind it..

I'd like to add that the tune is great. Nice power and better low down torque. But the limp mode thing could be a deal breaker and back to stock tune.

Hey Norb's,

my retune was done last time he was down, issues straight away.

Disabled.... thats what he did the first time, disabled the code so cruise is flashing and limp mode, and same still. I dont like things being disabled to hide flaws. :?

After it happened, I actually removed the 3" centre, put the stock back in and got him to send the first tune to Sharpie, which was honestly perfect in my eyes.

"Apparent" first tune reloaded and the car is not the same as it was the first time with same mods......

I dont like the fact that it seems he's busy drumming up and organising more business, when faults and issues from his tunes should be his first concern.

We obviously have a different business ethic. I would rather lose money and time to see a customer happy and keep my good name.

Mark. Have you compared the ROMs? You can see what has been changed.

We suspect it has something to do with throttle maps or boost maps.

Agreed.

Unfortunate you were in the latter category Mark, I'm sure a lot of people will be changing their minds based on what you have said.

Good luck with your next tuner.
