Yeah, but bright green dailies would be even worse :P

My Enkeis look like crap at the moment anyway haha

Paint Enkei's green for track, sell 17's and buy my JDM 18 x 8 STi wheels for daily.... 8)

17's are better size for track wheels though. Dont suit the Gen4 as a permanent, daily fixture.

+1 on matt black. But save them for the track, the smaller rolling diameter will give slightly better acceleration down low.

Honestly I was surprised these fit over the brembos! Thought the 02/03 STIs had the smaller 4 pots hence these would scrape the beefier brembos - alas I know nothing!
Good to know though.
I own a Liberty honest!

Didn't know they were still for sale... That's actually a possibility as my only problem with the Enkeis is the crap offset/width. Although I'd sell the Enkeis and keep the 17s for track, there's performance benefits yes... But I'm thinking about the $20 a tyre I'll save with the smaller size ;)

02/03 STis have the same brembo setup as us, they clear, but you wouldn't want to get a small bit of gravel flicked between the spoke and the caliper... You're probably thinking of the WRX which has 4 pot brakes that are slightly smaller :)

The white is growing on me, although they need to be 18s...

They're strange pads, the last Subaru service (67.5k) said they were low and would need to be replaced at the 75k service which I just did. They've been through two Mallala track days and I've still got some pad left before the indicator tabs...
They're really dusty even with my normal, gentle driving (I'm one of those guys who roll to a stop rather than braking if I can). You'd think dust would be somewhat proportional to pad wear...

Had a custom exhaust made up. Huge improvement. And still getting better with each revision from Matt :)

Perrin pitch stop mount installed (rear diff was moving too much and hitting the new exhaust). Absolutely no increase in NVH and the gearbox feels a lot better, third gear is in the same spot every time now :D

I also started sanding back the Enkei's for a repaint. I gave up on trying to keep the white wheels white already.

New brake pads are also needed after the last track day. So naturally I'll be buying new rotors and pads very soon ;)

Nice Dan :). A few little goodies for your car. Any ideas on pads/rotors yet?

Do you feel much of a difference with the Perrin pitch stop mount? Does it make shifts sharper?
