What is max power from stock turbo & auto?

I'm making 160kwaw with dump, muffs, inlet pipe. Matt said there was probably another 5kw in there once the engine and tmic cools.

Your lucky, im only making 159.8 in my auto with a VF52 and a heap of bolt ones and forged pistons :S

i have a dyno sheet up on my build thread (viewtopic.php?f=10&t=20193) im a bit disappointing now that other with autos are getting such higher power figures or about the same with a stock turbo :S

Have you done any 0-100 times or quarter mile runs?

Nah i havent yet, i was going to use the torque app with my OBD2 to have a look at it but turns out my obd2 is faulty.

Don't get me wrong the car feels anything but slow and it feels really great on power, i just thought it would make a little more lol but then again i suppose its better to have usable power.

Yeh I don't put much emphasis on dyno figures...see if you can do some 0-100 tests with that app and report back. If it ends up being a slow figure, maybe it would be good at looking at a retune, because I would honestly expect more than 160 with that set-up. If your time ends up being decent, then it might just be a low reading dyno

Hey Ash

Those figures you're getting don't sound right.
I think you must be either running low boost, getting a boost leak, dyno may be too conservative or you have a really bad tune.
With forged pistons you can run mich higher boost so you should be getting over 200kw easy.

You can do what Bruce "Bass Straitener" did, drive your car from Vic up to MSR on the outskirts of Sydney.
No body knows Subarus like Mick South and he'll get your Lib working properly.

My GT is an auto and I got 170kw atw with just a dump pipe, TMIC and a tune (check out my profile thread).

Awww, mine only dyno'd at 156kw atw with similar mods LOL (done TMIC, dump pipe, mufflers)

Shav, in regards to mufflers, Matt was able to tune out some cruising speed drone for me - I could barely hear it over the road noise driving out to the track on Monday. I've got the TCP Quads. You still get a nice noise when driving hard, but if it's just cruising it's fairly chill. I just wish I could replicate the external exhaust note inside the cabin fully when driving hard. I sent Karl out in my car for a bit on Monday to get an opinion on some issues I was having, and I went and stood by the fence while he was doing laps. I'd say it was one of the quieter cars out there (although louder than Daniel's with the stock STi quads) but it sounded fantastic

That dyno was quite 'worn out' from 400rwKw XR6 turbos so the power figures are not that accurate, that E85 STi leaves black rubber in 4th gear and it only made a few more kw's than yours!

Cool - did you get the post track LV I sent you btw? I still haven't done more logs yet! Pondered doing some tonight when I went out to get food, but there were two cars pulled over in the space of about 1.5km...so I thought better of it

I have some logs and an LV for Shav too, but laptop ran flat so I'll post them when I get to work in the morning
