I think I know when to stop with the green
I'd do the rears just for the sake of continuity...

The ones in that link look different to the ones in the Gen4, I'm not sure if they'd fit, that's the only reason.
The other ones I've seen for the rears in the Gen4 are fugly :(

Fortunately for you, Gen 3's shouldn't have the same problem!

Bit of an update... For the past week I have making my DIY mesh grill.
Trying to get some extra depth, I decided to not cut out the top part to try and get some more depth in the mesh.

All good in theory, until you put the badge on:

Image

See, looks like shit. The badge is on a huge angle, the Subaru stars are facing the real stars. Not good.

So what do I do? I thought about it for a while. Then I saw my cut out from the grill. An idea appeared in my, somewhat small, brain.

So I cut out where the badge sat on the original grill with some dremel work:

Sanded it, prepped it. I then painted it a gloss black so it would match my mesh grille...

Then I was finally happy with it, it's complete. I managed to keep my extra depth XD

Only problem is I screwed my badge up. So that will be replaced soon.

Finally, a lot of people have been nagging me to see our WRX with my XXR wheels. I even took these with a proper camera, which I haven't even done on my car as of yet XD

Grill looks fantastic mate, did Zach show you in person or send you a guide?

I am worried that I will mess it up, I have a bad history with my dremel haha!!

I'm looking for prices, but if the cheapest I can find for the set I like are on IM for $680 a corner that's about $150 a corner more than I planned to spend. I know $500 a corner is ridiculous to get RAYS... So are there any copies? Or I could get Takumas...

I've got Rays and you can find them through various wheel places. Just got to ask. That being said, your current wheels look good. I'd keep 'em and spend the money looking for the strakes and aero parts you're after.

And if you do find out where to get OEM style strakes, let me know!
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

Yeah, I priced them up in Australia and got scared. I could get Brembos with change for less than the wheels and tires. Considering the WRX wheels clear Brembos, that would be a better mod IMO. Will probably keep them for a bit yet, I'd guess.

However, I am tossing up on buying Kik's Works wheels and powdercoating them blaaaack. It's only money...

I've had no luck with the strakes, even got a friend in Japan to put some feelers out, with nothing found. I may have to just be happy with splash guards...

Cheers Zach, thanks for all of your help!

Some more mods on the way. Ordered Angel Eye Rings, will be doing that and blacking out the chrome over the projector but leaving the indicator chrome.
Wheels + Coilovers will be delayed again due to me purchasing a bike -.-

Bought Nick's roof racks so I can be all USDM, except I'll probably leave them off unless I'm taking the bike somewhere, so I can use the sunroof without annoyance.

Still not happy with the WRX wheels, no matter how nice they are, they are too small :(

Do it. Wheels will be $1K which is frankly a bargain - getting them painted will be $90 a rim with a clear-coat so you're only looking at $1360 for mint wheels in a colour of your choice!

PS I wouldn't go black, what about the shadow chrome TB STi colour? :D

If you wanna see what they look like on a lib, I've got pics in my thread :)

Now you're talking... It would be a while before I could get them on the car due to money, but it's a very tempting proposition...

You could always buy them, save up some cash to then respray, then get those pups installed

Ian is a good bloke too, I'm sure he'll be able to accommodate you :good:

Will definitely check the finances and see what I can do.

I'd probably have to check whether the powder coater could even do the shadow chrome finish.

It's hard to imagine what they'd look like on my car, may have to get a PS done up.

Yeah if the finances are lacking then it's just window shopping  in terms of the paint, all you need is the paint code and they can make it on the spot
