Urgent electrical help needed [SOLVED]

I installed some LED tail lights on the wagon today and based on previous attempts plus advice on here I also used a resistor/relay box as last time the car went into limp mode.

With it wired in as described by Stu in his thread the tail lights still work but the brake lights didn't. I took it out and still nothing. I then put the old lights back in and the same thing so there is a further problem. I checked fuses 14 & 16 according to the wiring diagram I have and they were fine. I also swapped the tail relay under the bonnet with the horn one and it is fine. Not sure what else to check? My Mrs will have kittens if I have to cough up for a sparky to come around because we can't really afford it.

ps. I haven't soldered the wires I'm using connectors from work. Also the box was designed off a previous diagram posted by Ric and the electricians at work assure me they directly copied it.

Sorry I can't help out with your problem. However, If by connectors you mean scotch connectors, removed them and do it properly with solder.
They will cause you problems down the track, they are hopeless for automotive electrical.

I doubt he is using IDC connectors for stranded wiring...

Probably not, but I thought I'd let him know to be sure. ARB did for my old mans tailights when they did the rear bar/canopy. It caused a multitude of electrical gremlins. I personally prefer solder + heatshrink when I do electrical work on the car.

These are the connectors used purely for easy of removability should something like this happen. They seem to be ok as the tail lights share the ground and they work fine. Which fuse is it that controls the brake lights on a Gen4 MY05 BP wagon? Is it the 1's I've listed or another 1?

Found it. Fuse 8 had blown. This also tells me that every manual I have for my wagon is wrong. Time to download the 1's Joshy posted for me instead.
