Need help changing the globe in the boot

Postby SSIKness666 » Tue Jan 15, 2013 5:34 pm

OK so please save me all the sarcastic remarks, it's just that I don't know how to remove the box that houses the globe.

Sedan or wagon?

If its sedan, you will need to remove all the plastic lock studs and your boot liner will come off and your globes are T10 (same as your parkers).

Wagon, I have no idea...
Below car has been gone for quite some time now... blew bottom end bearing and dealership screwed me! Now driving 2008 WRX with ~65k kms on the clock. Only has cat back exhaust and tune by KiDo at the moment! More to come... but slowly!

Purchased recently (12/11/2013), already with: Stage 2 Pedders lowered springs, rear Whiteline sway bar, Advan Racing TCII 18x8 wheels, k&N pod filter, custom 3" exhaust system from turbo back with Magnaflow mufflers. ECUTEK tune of some sort (hopefully soon to be fixed)..... now FIXED!! Now KiDo Tuned!
Added: HID kit, EZ lip equivalents to the front and sides, and various LED treatments, oem boot spoiler, [LGT WRC] plates, GFB Respons BOV for extra Pssscchhh! --> Gone... I couldn't afford it's heart transplant... but keep a look out, as it will come back on sale soon!

Flathead + this is good for removing the boot liner clips.

The one that illuminates the boot when the boot is open.

The above info is to replace the number plate lights.

I cannot recall exactly but the clearish plastic cover should just chip off?

I already tried this. The cover has some nodules on the edge but when I tried slightly squeezing the base edges of the cover, it wouldn't budge..

(I just went to take some pics...)
If your boot light cover is anything like mine, then you gently forcibly squeeze the sides and it just comes off.
