you may have to hit the button at 5000 rpm for it to shift at 6600.

I've tried it all, I've tried shifting it at 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, let it shift itself, left it in auto. When running the high boost setting and boost launching the car, it will hit the rev limiter in 1st no matter what I do :(

That is cause it wheelspins and it takes the box too long to work out wheel speed Vs shaft speed while bouncing off the limiter. HKS software will fix that, target 0% wgdc above 6400rpm and let the Turbo dump it's exhaust manifold pressure for WOT shifts

Did you try launching in S mode then press the S# button as it shifts into second? :-)

i am going to use mega shift from megasquirt to control mine. and i plan on installing a electric bov and combining it with shift timing retard during shifts. so wot shifts and power reduction with out loosing turbo inertia. :D

this may sound stupid, but have you tried launching in 2nd gear ? this will reduce maximum torque going to the wheels but prolong the torque multiplication of the converter. and it wouldn't hurt anything.

I'm fairly certain it is not wheel spin though as I'm not losing any traction? Even if I don't boost launch it, on the high boost setting I will get this happening. Also, the other night while driving sedately next to that S15 (note the sarcasm) it did it when shifting from 3rd to 4th as well, exactly the same thing, and I can tell you there was definitely no loss of traction at that stage!

No I haven't but I might try that tonight!

What's the cost of something like that?

Mini-update: Mick (dr20t) ordered us both HKS Easy Writers from the states, so hopefully I'll have this installed by the 11th of Feb which is when I'm booked in for some dyno time. As mentioned before, this will allow a tuner full control over the HKS EVC boost controller I have, and will enable per rpm boost control among other features.

As well as getting the HKS Easy Writer installed I'll also finally be getting the Zero/sports Transmission Cooler I purchased off senator a couple of months ago. Will also be getting certain parts of the engine bay touched up as well as possibly adding some blue silicon hosing here or there

This time I promise I will have some pics... :D
