My last dyno tune was in Apr 2011 (212kwatw). I take a LV every week and all is good

You hear a lot of happy people who are impressed with a kido tune because they've never had their car tuned before with mods. Call it the placebo effect.

Plenty of people out there who get their cars dyno tuned and also log.

But saying issues galore? Issues might occur after some duration because maintenance isn't kept up on the car? It's a lot better than having issues because the latest reflash is still not up to scratch causing the car to run rich, boost spike, boost stutter, poor economy, not shifting properly, pinging, det etc...

Guys don't jump on what I'm saying, at least see reason. I didn't say every single dyno tune would have issues, I said that if every single person with a dyno tune logged their car there would be a lot of issues across the board. Of course there are some people who will have none, I didn't say that it would be every single car. What I was trying to get at is the potential of finding issues would be a lot higher among a user group who generally run logs on their cars, and the percentage among customers of remote tuners would be a lot higher, I don't see how that doesn't make sense.

I had my car dyno tuned by Matt in November and to date there have been no issues with the tune itself, of course other than my 1st gear issue as mentioned. I would not get a remote tune personally and have not to date, have had all my tunes on a dyno (not including one revision from Matt).

Final thought is no matter what kind of tune you have done, you need to be regularly monitoring your car and maintaining it as even a perfect tune can turn sour if everything is not up to scratch.

Want a list of 'retunes' I have done that must have a placebo effect? Currently tuning a peanut STi with a forged 2.5L that was dyno tuned with a 'phantom knock that could not be tuned out' and IAM on 12. IAM is on 16, rattle free and actually wheelspins in gear now.

80+ retuned in Melb alone, 40+ Willall Racing retuned, there is 200+ I have done in the USA/UK with previous tunes. Yes, it can be hit and miss sometimes but with 25 or so issues, I think a 98.55% success rate is half decent

Hate to say it but nearly every car u tune has wheel spin!! I find this hard to believe as mine has great traction...!!!

Ok! Here are the latest news!

Matt sent me a tune last night. My car has a new full turbo exhaust going in right now. Tomorrow I'll be loading the tune.

Matt said the bigger exhaust with new tune should eliminate knock.

I'll be logging the car for matt and there will be some LV screens on here for everyone to see the progress.

If he has tuned so many cars then it should be an easy fix

im yet to hear of any kido tunes with 600plus km out of a tank id like to be pointed in ther right direction along with all the 300awkw standard internal cars too!!

lots of hype and not much proof of anything really!! i take all tuners with a grain of salt cause once you start talking to them they all seem to be fixing up each others tunes.....

Great timing Brandon, I had a shit as day at work where I drove out to Bairnsdale and back seeing 8 clients along the way. 80% highway and 20% stop start rubbish (yoghurt spill at Moe plus appointments)

I knew Matt had been under scrutiny of late so thought I'd show my economy to both him and you all.
