Getting some Rota g force in the shadow black..

Not sure if to go conservative 18x8.5 +44 or 18x9 in the +35

Given I'm going coilies with front camber adjust and rear camber bolts.. I'm confident I could make the 9's fit.. happy to roll guards too..

I don't want to run anything narrower than 235's though..
STI lip, Whiteline suspension goodies, KIDO tune.. more to come..

Depends what you mean by fit  Roll guards won't be enough alone. Some guard pulling and decent amount of camber though should do it.
9" +35 will require some effort. Especially if you want to run any more than 235, which would require effort even without 9" +35.

Depends on your preferred ride height too of course.

Yeah this guy with the bug eye actually bought em off a liberty owner that had rubbing issues. They were 18 x 9 rotas (not sure on the tyre width but they were pretty stretched). He needs to swap his front guards with a sedan (more room) and even with rolled rears it's scrubbing. He's looking at getting them pulled out.

I'd go 8.5 if you want to avoid serious hassles but as you say, you could dial in some camber though you'd definitely need to roll em...

Yeah... I use the term "fit" quite loosely.. lol.. having come from 9.5" fronts and 10" rears on my soarer..

By "roll" guards I meant roll, pull.. whatever is required.. I'm lucky enough that the guys at my panel shop will do shit like that for next to nothing.. I throw so much work their way through my job that they love me..

Having said that.. I haven't decided yet... I don't want to have them attract too much attention in a daily ..

yeah lol alot of people on this forum dont go hard with the offset. i have yet to see a hella flush lib on this forum... or a lib with decent strech/flush combo

got a couple of mates same as u. 9.5 fronts and 10 rears. all they said was pfft guards (goes and gets bolt on flared guards)

Haha.. I'm not into the whole hellaflush thing... the 9.5 and 10 combo was on my z20 soarer race car..

The guards were "rolled" with a steel pipe and a large hammer... I did start off by using a guard roller but lost patience after about 3 minutes... it kinda dawned on me that I was repainting anyway so no fucks n needed to be given..

The reason why I want to go the 9s is coz the 8.5s in such a conservative offset don't have enough concaveness...

And this is part of the reason I'm looking to sell mine !

:)

9's would be nuts on a lib but doable.

Just pump those guards and get em in!

Had the car at a motorkhana yesterday was quite happy with how it went..

i was actually surprised with how well it handled for a relatively stock lib.. was actually quicker on the day than a my04 WRX Sti... although i think that was more down to a difference in driving talent than the car..

I got a couple of videos but being AWD it was quite uneventful so i wont bother posting..

Also, dropped the car off to the panel beaters today.. should have it back Wed... to fix up the damage the car came with and give it a decent buff/compound/detail etc..

Here is what the bumper looks like now..

Image

Image

Both of those areas were like that when i bought it..

and the below is a present someone left me at a carpark :angry2:

Image

I didnt end up getting them to repaint the bonnet because i didnt want to spend the cash on shit that is just gonna get stone chipped again soon.. (i drive down south of WA a lot) and if i did the bonnet, i would have to repaint the front bumper too etc...

Cant wait to see the results on Wed..

fairly sure BC's are around the $1200 dollar mark.... then there is the Kido ones around the $1000 mark...

they are all made at the same place anyway.. so i dont think there will be a quality difference.. i've test driven a few cars with BCs in them recently and for a daily they will do fine..

havent driven any with Kido ones but ive talked to a few that have.. basically the same as BC's..

i know they arent on par with far more expensive coilies.. but for what i use the car for they will be fine..

Also recently discovered that my LCA's are on their way out.. I've already got the anti lift kit anyway so will just grab some front bushes and replace the lot... but thinking i may as well wait until i have the coilies.. at least that way i can set the anti lift and RCA kit up at the height im going to keep the car...

Yeah I'm sure either are fine for me too. Not going to be hitting the track any time soon. A mate has BCs on his skyline and was very happy with them.

My LCAs are gone too and I'll probably to the same thing. Get those, sway bars, links, etc. done at the same time. Went to see how much the SuperPro ones are as supercheap has 15% at the mo but even so still more than the whiteline ones (at whiteline retail prices).
