Help needed

Postby Storch » Wed Apr 02, 2008 11:47 am

Hi guys,

Yesterday I had my MY04 detailed and now since I got the car back my park headlights stay on all the time. Even when the knob is set to the off position and the key is in the off position and taken out. Whenever I park my car I have to unhook the battery.

Plz help, any ideas why the has happened and how to fix greatly apprieciated...

On your steering wheel there should be a little button that can switch the park brake assist light and the switch could be accidentally be on its just on top of your horn on MY06

Did they steam clean your engine or anything? I wonder if any moisture got into your electrical system and wreaking havoc.

Did you call the detailing place? Did they have to fiddle with your alarm or any other electrical components?

--> Opps. Misread! I thought he said headlights! Didn't see the parking headlights.

It'll be the switch on top of the steering column that Subie Boy mentioned.
It looks like the hazard light switch on most other cars.

ill definitly check the steering column as soon as i get back to the car.

Yeh they did detail the whole engine bay. So I thought they may have bumped sumthing in there.

Well I hope I can find this switch.
