LED Footwell LightingWhat: Footwell Lighting via an LED strip, which comes on when the door is opened.
Cost: Approx $10 (I have a bulk roll of strips)
Time Taken: Approx 1 hour
Basically I got bored this afternoon and decided to put my spare LED strip to use, I always wanted to have footwell lighting so I got to work. I removed the door trim, there are three screws, one behind a place behind the chrome handle and two behind the cover on the black handle you use to open the door, once they are removed you can pull the door trim by 'popping' out the holder clips, I broke 1, oh well Sh*t happens

You have two opens, splice in to the wire going to the puddle lamp (red lamp) or you can splice in to the connector under the driver dashboard, I took the trim off to investigate the wires, I should have used a wiring diagram and saved a heap of time

I put the two wires from the LED Strip in to the correct holes of the connector and then just plugged it in, its a lazy way to do it, however it does not damage the wiring, is not permanently and can be replaced/changed easily, I will be making 'kits' for purchase shortly.
Its really as simple as patching in to the puddle connector, once thats done you just need to find a spot to put the strip, I have a big roll of strips on their way, and will be supplying double sided tape, however for mine I neatly cable tied it in to the vents under the drivers side.
