Annoying beeping

Postby NXTIME » Sun Mar 30, 2008 10:26 am

Hi Guys,

I have an MY04 GT and when I turn the car off and take the key out i get a twin beeping sound that seems to be coming from under the driver's seat. It is draining my battery every few hours. Any idea what could be the cause and how to stop it?

Charlie.

Could be an amp or something under the seat.
Have you got the Mac sound system?

Yes, I have the Mac. Also, the interior light flashes when in the centre position.

That sounds a lot like a "lights on" warning beep in other cars, but current models just kill the lights for you when you turn off. Does the MY04 do that also.
How sure are you it's coming from under the seat?

are you sure it isn't the same sound you get when someone sitting on your seat does not put their seat belt on? are you sure you haven't left something heavy on your front left seat like I have done a few times.. :P
