Kido tune - stage 1

Postby Nick3.0R-B » Mon Dec 17, 2012 9:09 pm

Spent the evening with Bryce from kido Sunbury Vic.

Bryce loaded in the base tune and we went for a cruise.

3000rpm kick is pretty much gone and now pops at about 2000.

It's amazing and it's across all gears. 1st gear traffic light sludge is no more!

Will be having Matt five tune it when he pops mown.

Bryce was fantastic and was very knowledgable. (And has a boss Forester)

Next my fuel econg went from 13.0 to 8-9. It's incredible!

By base tune I mean the tune as such...one off payment.

Ill let the kido boys give you the fee. Quite reasonable

Free retuned, don't charge extra for changes unless it's a major change(like supercharger) but even then, the fee is minimal

High single digits is common, most common issue is a dirty MAF sensor causing issues.
Some guys are getting 6L/100kms with highway driving

If only my car wasn't so new and the hassles for warranty. I would like to have that fuel economy for my trip to QLD on Saturday.

Phone didn't sync what I wrote

Get the airflow meter cleaned, takes about 15mins. Two Phillips head screws, clean sensor with Spray and done.

OP had same issue. I think all H6 owners should consider a regular MAF clean

Feel free to drop in at Coffs Harbour at McDonalds on south end of Coffs(just past roundabout) we can discuss the improvements. You would only need a Tactrix to reload stock tune before any warranty servicing etc
