Sub in a 2.0 MY06 Liberty?

Postby Joshy » Tue Dec 11, 2012 7:59 pm

Hey all,

I saw some pics the other day of other Liberty's with the Subs in the boot, near the light, and it got me wondering about something like this for my car.

It has the space for a sub, but if I wanted to put one in there will I need to buy an amp, etc?

I have no idea with this stuff

Yes, You need an amp to power a sub.
You also may need a new HU to run the amp, H/E it isn't impossible to run off the standard headunit.

I think Mihai did it, but I am unsure whether or not that was a McIntosh.

I will probably end up waiting till I get the fascia and change all the speakers, etc.

Cheers :)

Definitely. I'm excited for when I can afford my stereo mods. Until I go online and price it up, then I loose all of the excitement XD

Haha thanks. I haven't got new wheels yet though. The ones on the car are for sale :D

I have read it's a fair PITA to convert from single to dual zone, hardly worth it! I hope you can change your order before it's too late.

Yea, that's single zone.. A dual zone one would still work but the second knob wouldn't control anything.

After shitting myself, and then googling Dual Zone, I noticed that its not what I had, and not what I ordered, phew!

I see what dual zone is now, yep I only have the single zone.

Cheers for the heart attack!

and the help
