Smoky lights

Postby Elbus » Mon Dec 10, 2012 5:18 pm

I was interested in darker rear light on my 04 liberty, and a friend and I found some headlight protectant wrap at super cheap auto and sprayed it with a can of light blackener before applying it to the car, and it worked a real treat, also being much cheaper than replacing the lights as well. The wrap was around $30, and the can was a bit more (unsure of price).

Be warned with ebay wrap though, I bought some that looked like a great darkness in all the photo's however when I got it, it was far to dark for my liking (Practically blacked out) and decided to chuck it :/

Make sure you get light black, not black as that will be too dark.

Should I order some and try again, or take it to a local place and pay $15 to get them to do it?

$15 install + $15 for the wrap
