Trade,
Yep, the ribbed idler has loosened on the bearing. Email us the details for shipping etc.

Nick, good work dude. LOL I knew you'd end up with a HD clutch sooner rather than later. 6 speed is next yea??? ;-)

MUCH STRONGER THEN MY FLEXI PIPE :D BUT VERY TRICKY TRIMMING THE BENDS TO GET THE RIGHT POSITION. PLUS 90 BEND ONTO CHARGER RE-ENFORCED SO IT DOESN'T NARROW FROM SUCTION

Is that centre CAT the stocky or did you replace it?

Yah I did my brake upgrade before the SC. I can highly recommend the KiDo kit on here, maybe smaller than the 6 pot front/4 port rear I went with (my 100-0 is better than my 0-100). They are squealy bastards to start with, but they lose the squeal over time.

That's a hi-flow replacement. Stock headers also had a cat in them so its gone from 2x stock cats to 1 hi-flow

Perth car cruise was today, and I put the 9psi pulley through its paces. There is definitely more pep in the car now :-) The exhaust pops and crackles a lot more, they guys on the cruise love the sound

I am however getting belt slip every now and again. Trade do you think it is due to the bearing on that pulley dying?

Blade

I dont think it is due to that pulley, it really doesnt change anything

Enquire here with turner about belt tension he is using, you need it quite tight compared to when you run 6psi.

I personally dont use the 9psi pulley - never have, so i cant tell you exactly just how much tighter the belt should be than when using the 6psi pulley

No problems Trade.

I'll still need that pulley replaced anyway. I'll get it tightened even more when I get it changed over. May even need a new belt (I was getting slippages before, but this was quite regular).

I was surprised how tight the belt needed to be. I thought I had it tight enough but didn't even notice a tiny bit of high rpm slip until I saw peak boost flattening on a graph. I played around with tension until it was just tight enough to grip the whole way to rev limit then when it was good added some "belt grit" for a little extra grip. A firm push (say ~10kg) with your thumb on the longest section of SC belt should only give you 10mm flex (after a good drive). A ribbed belt would be great but who could be arsed changing all the pulleys over plus $$$!

lol, 7 ribbed belt? Or chain conversion??

Ok, good to know, when I get home tonight I'll do your thumb test and will see if it needs to be tightened further.
Post 9psi pulley and tune, the car sound SLIGHTLY different. Also, I don't think I've posted any videos of the car with the SC, should probs do that :-)

Do it Fudz, and blast it on your home theatre and your neighbours will think its the end of the world?
Below car has been gone for quite some time now... blew bottom end bearing and dealership screwed me! Now driving 2008 WRX with ~65k kms on the clock. Only has cat back exhaust and tune by KiDo at the moment! More to come... but slowly!

Purchased recently (12/11/2013), already with: Stage 2 Pedders lowered springs, rear Whiteline sway bar, Advan Racing TCII 18x8 wheels, k&N pod filter, custom 3" exhaust system from turbo back with Magnaflow mufflers. ECUTEK tune of some sort (hopefully soon to be fixed)..... now FIXED!! Now KiDo Tuned!
Added: HID kit, EZ lip equivalents to the front and sides, and various LED treatments, oem boot spoiler, [LGT WRC] plates, GFB Respons BOV for extra Pssscchhh! --> Gone... I couldn't afford it's heart transplant... but keep a look out, as it will come back on sale soon!

hahaha. The neighbours get enough of that when either Dave or I start our cars (as he has a V8). I actually try keep the car quiet (HA!) as I leave the house or arrive; the house next door has a room right next to our garage, and this room is the nursery for their 6 month old =/

Subaru's are terrible for that, my Impreza isnt loud but the boxer 4 still makes the garage roof reverberate
