Well Hello There...

Postby Scooby2 » Fri Nov 16, 2012 11:32 am

Hi guys n gals, new member here (obviously). Previous member of GT-Rydaz/OzFoz (as OzGump - I had a 2006 XT Forester - modified of course putting out 206kw at all 4 wheels). Bought my 2011 Liberty GT new in Dec 2011, and absolutely loving it, even though many think they are unattractive cars. Anyhow, new to this site and the forums - looking forward to discussing many topics and getting ideas on modd'ing Scooby2 more. Current mods are full 3 inch X-Force exhaust and handling - lowered 30mm on Pedders Low springs, bigger sways front and rear and a front strut brace. New wheels just done so only the beginning as it's first birthday approaches (lease car).

Catch you around...
2011 Gen5 Liberty GT (auto), STi front lip and trunk spoiler, Sports mesh grille, lowered and improved handling (more to come), Full X-Force 3" exhaust, King alloys - KiDo (Matt) Tune, Imported DRLs, Corazon Big Scoop - and loving it!! Hmmm, May need a bigger Turbo next :)

Welcome mate. Team white FTW!
How are the Pedders springs?
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

Thanks for the welcome guys....

I agree they may not be the sexiest of all the Libertys, but I do love my GenV for sure - nice mix of class, luxury, goodies and power... The grille had to go straight up, before even taking delivery - sorry to the other guys on here with them, but the OEM grilles are mutha-ugly (in my humble opinion), The recesseed OEM sports mesh is a big improvement. Mind you there are lots of much cheaper "carbon" after-market versions - but not to worry...

The Pedders Springs are really good - takes the car down to a point that makes it pretty low (lower underneath than it looks around the wheels arches). Still doesn't sit quite as flat on the bends as I'd like (and we are inundated with round-a-bouts here in Canberra)... Will be checking the forums to find better suspension set up options to compliment those I've already done...

Oh yeah - and the Satin White Pearl is a great looking colour for sure - glad to be part of the team 8)

Welcome Leigh!

With your past history with modding suby's, should we expect this gen 5 to have some tasty power mods?

Also, from the small pic i can see, those wheels look good, what are they?
Also, care to put up some bigger pictures of your ride?

Cheers, Simon

I reckon it is on the cards - given I just can't seem to help myself... Trying to be good, but the urge is getting stronger and stronger. :D

More pics uploaded here (two of them showing it before any suspension or exhaust changes)...

The wheels are "BBS CF Styling" 18 x 8.0, ET45, PCD 5/100 (obviously), Centre bore 73.1

best way to get picture to a size you want would be to use something like 'imgur', 'flickr' or 'photobucket' and then use the link to post picture in your thread

Those wheels look great, and who knows, you might be one of the first Gen 5 owners on here with a decent power number

Nice Lib! Loving the SWP colour, Kinda regret not choosing my Lib in that colour. It's weird how aftermarket 18's look smaller than the OEM 18's.

Thanks - yeah I reckon it's because the OEM are more "full" in their design and a bit brighter (more obvious)..... I do love the Satin White Pearl for sure 8)
