That's a great website. I'm just browsing his other articles now
Pretty much debunks most of the rubbish from a professional point of view. Nothing else to be said

In short, Peter Brock was once the favored son of Holden, and he ran their official race team (HDT, the "Holder Dealer Team"), and resold specced up Commodores.
(In the process, his people checked all the engines and gear going through their operation, and grabbed the best performing "standard" bits to go on his racecars, which were supposed to be "standard production models" back in those days.
Someone talked him into fitting a piece of garbage called a "Polarizer" to his special versions, which was supposed to make the car run better, and also allowed you to run extremely low tyre pressures.
Holden tried to talk him out of fitting it, because they had a very cozy relationship, where the Brock modified cars were covered by a Holden warranty, and they weren't going to guarantee something they didn't understand.
They bent over backwards to try to let him prove it worked, but of course it never did, and the relationship fell in a heap.
HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) was created by Holden to fill in the void after HDT crashed.

lol! maybe so. I was just never into Holdens...Ric wrote:Showing your youth Clarence?
