Tinting to match the factory privacy?

Postby Roomeat » Tue Nov 13, 2012 5:38 pm

Hey guys, I have been doing a bit of searching and reading. Found heaps about standard tinting but...
Nothing with info about the factory privacy windows.
I have a 07 Liberty sedan with the back privacy windows. What grade do I need to add to the front to make them match?
Have also been told that the front tinted windows may be more reflective to look at then the rear privacy.. Can anyone elaborate for me?

Any professional tinter can match up what is needed to balance the car out. Reflection is purely dependent on the tint you choose whether it's the traditional dark stuff or the mirror style stuff.

A colleague of mine did his Forester that had privacy glass with 25% tint on the normal glass (10% darker than NSW legal) and about 45% tint on the privacy glass, from memory, roughly equalling the 25% on the normal glass. You can't see the difference at a glance. If you're in Sydney, he used Mr. Cool who did all the matching. I've personally used the same guy for two cars now, so I can vouch for his work as well.
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...
