The MCM video shows how to do the fronts, only difference being your Liberty will have 3 strut bolts up the top. The rear is very different though and the whole strut needs to come out as well. With the right tools it will take all of a few hours to do, you may struggle if you lack the repertoire..

The rear strut comes out pretty much the same way; a bolt at the bottom and 2 at the top, and I accessed the top strut bolts by taking out the boot liner. Main thing is to use a set of decent spring compressors and its all made a hell of a lot easier with a rattle gun.

They're not 'hard' as such, just take more time than the video.. The most frustrating part I found was removing the boot liner, assuming its a sedan??? Had plenty of those annoying clip things that are hard to remove

I don't have to remove the boot liner in mine.
A first I thought I would have to (that would be a bitch), but all I have to do is remove the floor cover and then I can fold back the bits that cover the strut top a bit and I'm there. Takes less than a minute.

Maybe they improved the design a bit between pre and post facelift?? I couldn't fold the sides back, it was really stiff (that's what she said) and they ran right down under the floor.

Just make sure that you seat the spring compressor things well, and ALWAYS stay out of the line of fire if anything breaks!
I have a pair of simple German made long threaded rods with ears to fit over the coils, and nuts to tighten them. I have done 4 x Porsche 928 shocks, and 8 x MX5 shocks with them, no issues.
