50k service - how much would you expect to/did you pay?

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

50k service - how much would you expect to/did you pay?

Postby SpecB » Fri Jan 04, 2008 5:02 pm

Getting my 50k service next week at STi Docklands and when I asked approximate cost they said around $680. I think it's pretty expensive but expected to pay around that.

I've got an MY06 3.0RB (auto).

What's everybody's opinion on the cost?

Okay, I just dug up the invoice for mine.
Now I'm a 2.0T (auto), but my 50K service cost $653.80 all up.

Which seemed bad at the time, but was not so bad when the $1445 bill came for the 100K service

I paid $660 recently for a 2.0T (MY06 Auto) at Subaru, I only did this because I wanted to keep the extended 1yr dealer warranty, otherwise I would have taken it to Ultratune for $510.00.

Try Subaru Glen Waverly.
They're part of the same group as Docklands, but are worth a try.

Wouldn't go there if it was half that price.. heard terrible things about them, and have only had very rude replies to (early) enquiries..

Eastern Subaru in Lilydale are independant of the majors in Melb (Docklands, Glen Waverley, Mentone, Doncaster)
I have found them cheaper and easier to deal with than Glen Waverley at least.
Speak to Trevor in service, he'lll look after you I'm sure.

I got mine performed yesterday at Boxer Service in Brisbane for $670

This included Mobil 1 engine oil and they actually perform the full inspection of the vehicle that many other places seem to charge you for but not do :D

The price isn't as cheap as some but This is the 2nd time I've been to this guys and they take a lot of pride in their work - One of the biggest things i look for in a workshop
