Introduce yourself

Just picked up my GT Liberty - New Wheels 18/9/13

Postby Camo66 » Sun Oct 28, 2012 6:57 pm

Hi all,

I guess since I just picked up my newer ride, I should get on here and officially introduce myself. Have been looking for a while and also posted a picture in another section. I was originally after a Gen4 model GT-B manual and couldn't find one for the right price (my thoughts) in the condition I wanted and in NSW. Others suggested I may need to travel and I ended up finding this one for only a couple of grand more than the average price of the older model. I know there are quite a few that are not that fond of the Gen5, but I am glad that I was able to find this one and its great to drive. Although it will take a while to get use to the handbrake and key less start/stop. I do like walking up to a locked car and being able to get in and drive off without getting the key out of my pocket and sure this will come in handy.

Anyway, as required here a few details below

Name: Kev
Ride: MY10 Liberty GT, manual (also 1961 VW Beetle)
Location: NSW, Liverpool area
Mod: None yet, but give me time
Plans: Hope to do wheels, suspension, exhaust and a tune
Occupation:
Year of birth: I am right in the middle of my 40's at the moment
Interest: Love cars and driving them and also my motorbike
Previous Rides: Way to many to list them all, over 50 I think. Just sold my 07 HSV Clubby and bought the GT. Just a few I have had over the years include Cressida with 1JZ twin turbo with manual conversion, factory sigma turbo, LS400, S4 RX7 turbo, 4WD's, Datsun 1600, Suzuki GTI, Starion turbo, few V8 Commodores and many more. Cars are a bit of a hobby to me and I get bored after a year or two.

Just picked the car up from Melbourne this weekend and got it home today.

You all know what they look like, so just the one for now.

Cheers, Kev

Welcome Kev :D
Looks tight...and someone has already done the grille for you. Win!
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

.
Well, it's one month today since I started this thread and introduced myself.

Since then, had full S/S exhaust from turbo back, KiDo tuning by Matt (great work) and now have it lowered. I think the only thing left that I mention last month are the wheels, but give it time and maybe some more money :bye:
