According to this DIY Krylon make a similar colour called Rhine River Rose (not sure if they do it in high temp).

I bet you can't wait for the tune :)

Are you into writing or recording music? Me too 8)

Just dying for the turbo and the tune!! Gonna be a fun summer with this car once its all ready to go. 8)
Yeah I do it all! I run my own studio and write most of the stuff for my band and produce it. Makes it difficult when you get to the stage of do I buy coilovers? or new studio monitors?

yeah I'm into writing & recording...only basic recording...I use pro tools, with a 002 digi design rack. But I play guitar & sing more, fender man. have you got yamaha NS10's monitors?
what gear you have?

cheers jack

Ah good man! I'm a big fender fan. Though I am a passionate ESP user (got a short term endorsement a few years back and ended up with 8 of them  )
I use a focusrite saffire pro 40 with logic and KRK rokit 8s though I think they are overkill for the room I'm mixing in, plus they are the old model ones, still good but was thinking of trading up. You using the NS10's?

My band is called Legacy Of Supremacy. Though I scored the endorsement because I was working in a music shop at the time and sold a tonne of ESP/LTDs and used them exclusively. Ended up being involved in the product shows and clinics and stuff. Ah the days before I had a grown up job.. and before I owned a subaru

Time for an update!!
All my parts are here and all that is left to go on is the turbo and the 3 port solenoid. Booked in for the work on the 26th of this month so we can finally see what all of this is gonna put out! With Rome setting the standard over east its time to see how we can do over here in the west!
OK sadly thats where all the good stops....

Here is the bad...

My heavy handed friend managed to strip the thread on the compressor flange when we were putting on the new TMIC and thus it wont seal properly
The ECU is already pulling boost due to the new modifications and now the leaks are making eveything worse. I noticed a loud whining when coming on boost over the past few days which forced me to get on the phone with my tuner and beg for a spot and advice. This really sucks cos it's my daily and I do need to drive it a lot! And i'm a bit scared im gonna do it more damage between now and the 26th :?

I haven't looked up the stripped compressor outlet thread issue yet, is using helicoil a possible remedy?

Awesome - where do I source these helicoils?
My topmount will be out for fitting the dump, I want to be prepared for that scenario.

Small update before all the big fun stuff happens tomorrow!
I got rid of the 3" twin tips and went for 4" singles as I plan to get some sort of a diffuser down the track and the twins overcrowd the cutouts as it is. Result was instantly quieter, and not as droney. I installed the new fuel pump which wasnt too difficult and now all that is left is to get it to the shop to have the turbo put on and tuned.

I really have no idea what to expect by the end of the day tomorrow, this setup made 216kw in a manual GT but I have no idea how much boost it was running, I also dont know how much I should try and pull out of this turbo whilst still being kind to my engine. People with vf52s, 380xts and other td05s feel free to add your 2c worth! Remember I also have the auto to consider.

Nice work, Im running 16PSi as anything more will probably start shortening the life of the engine whilst having stock internals, not really made for any more than that. Most turbos can run a lot higher than this but it wasnt a risk I was willing to take as my lib is my daily. 16PSi is plenty fun though wont be disappointed :)

Cheers Adam!
Just dropped it off this morning, now for the longest work day ever until I can pick it up at 5pm. So keen to see how it drives!
