I'm a first time Subi owner and so far I couldn't be happier. Just bought myself a second hand Silver Liberty 3.0R B-Spec wagon 6MT.

I only picked it up a couple of days ago and I have that awesome feeling that I haven't had about a car in years - I just want to go and sit in it, then drive it, then sit in it, then read the manual, then test out something I just read in the manual, then drive it again.

I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions along the way but for now, I'll just read a few threads and learn a few things.

Cheers,
Yuley

Welcome and nice ride, there should be a new cruise organised shortly right Ric :D

Very devastated to see that your previous ride was an HK wagon very much want one myself was is a Kingswood, Prem, Belmont? Sorry getting off topic, I'll pick myself back up off the floor.

You have yourself a very nice car but I agree with the rest of the group, I think you may find the mod bug hit soon :) Have a squiz in the 3.0R & 3.6R engine specific, How do I? and post your mods sections and you will get plenty of great ideas, or avoid them if you like you wallet full(er) ;)

Thanks everyone. It's great to find a forum of like-minded, helpful and friendly people.

I'll have a crack at getting the strips off soon. Thanks heaps for the tips.

PinkK - to be honest, the HK was my favourite car until now. It was just a Kingswood but I had it de-badged and resprayed cobalt blue. Had GTS gaurds and mirrors, a 307 with a bit of work and a few other things going on. It was an awesome cruiser but old cars are money pits and I had to either spend another shedload of money on it or sell it, so off it went.

I should clarify too that it wasn't my most recent ride - that was the Euro. I had the HK about 12 years ago.

I still have a lot of respect for the old skool cars. But in saying that, I prefer to live in the 21st century. The creature comforts are well worth it alone.

I like having one of each.
It makes you appreciate the creature comforts so much more after you've had a fang in the old one! ;)

I agree Ric, if you have the space and can afford both, you get the best of both worlds.
