My gosh... how on earth are you guys consuming so much? I can only hit numbers like that if I blast it from every red-light etc.

Honestly the only time I see those kind of numbers is when I go for a spirited one up the hills...

City traffic nets me around 12 or less and highway is around 8-9.

The kind of figures you guys are showing are worse than the figures I had to run it on 91 RON (middle of nowhere country town - no choice - absolutely did not let the revs rise beyond 2.5k).

Just refilled today, achieved average of 13.64 L/100km with 1/3 fast freeway driving with 2/3 suburban. Figure calculated old fashioned way, not with trip computer.

Nothing fantastic following the new sensor installation but about 11% better than before.

Usually average 10.6 with mixed driving conditions, 11l/100kms for a bad week

90% city driving, permanently in S, with some S# and the trip computer says 11.8 over ~7500 km

Using car computer today - 11.2 smashing it through the hills in sport plus
Hyper mileing (well sort of) in I mode at 110kmh average on the freeway 7.2.
I think overall average was about 9 got to be happy with that.

im starting to think this display is getting it all wrong...does anyone know a list of parts which would affect the fuel economy? (spark plugs, senors, filters, etc)

there's gotta be something wrong with the 15L+ users that we all have in common!

No, no. the trip computer is correct. for some strange reason, we use more fuel in idle than we do at highway cruising speeds

Its becuase your not moving. Avg fuel read out (ltr/100km) is calculated over distance. So if your car is not moving and its idling in the same spot for a period of time, then yes your avg fuel display will start going up.

Most noticeable if you reset your trip computer just after filling up and have to sit at the lights for a while. I had it spike up to 30L/km once. Obviously once you start driving the numbers fall (and fall quite quickly).

You might want to try one of Matt's Kido Tunes to bottom out economy. I-mode will basically hold 5th gear wherever it can to give you maximum economy (sell it to the missus that way) - but as a bonus you will pick up torque/ power across the band even in a stock car.

oh ok - trip computer is full of shit. says 15L/100k for all suburb driving/semi heavy on the pedal/odd squirt.

i calculated it myself and got 13.24L/100K. (32L in tank -> 241.7km driven) guess my car is preforming not too bad after all!
