Inbetween wisemans ferry and St. Albans is a dirt road. This is only on the north side though.

I guess there's ways around it, but that would involve more ferries. This is also assuming we drove up the old rd first and then went west from gosford to St. Albans.

well so far 'south' is in the lead by a lot. so if 'north' makes a drastic comeback ill definitely look into it.

I voted for south but I could do any. However that depends on the distance down south. Seeing that I would already be driving 8 hours to get to Sydney so I don't want really wanna head south.... This obviously depends on work though.

yeah tbh i don't think we will go much further than Wollongong. its 1.45 hrs there with a 15 min catch up. eat/drink/laugh -2 hours. photos 1 hour. drive back 1.45. thats 6.5ish hours. thats a pretty good day i say.

Count me in for this one Jack

Can I make a suggestion? if we head south, why not head down past Kiama, Gerringong and Gerroa then cut across to Berry and stop at either of the pubs for lunch? just a suggestion

Or... if everyone/most members are in the western area of Sydney, head down the Princess Highway, down through Sutton Forest, Barrengary Mountain, Kangaroo Valley and then over to Berry/Gerroa/Gerringong/Kiama for lunch

I used to drive the Kangaroo Valley road nearly every weekend for the last half of last year, I know the road off the back of my head and its a great drive :D

I've put this map past Jack and the response I got was "Yeah that looks pretty good to me!"

Starting point is at Homebush, then head down to the big McDonalds/Shell Service station intersection on the Hume Highway, then going in through Exeter, down Barrengary Mountain, through Kangaroo Valley. From there, there are two ways to get over to Berry, we can either drive straight over, or stop off at the Cambewarra Mountain look out for a few minutes to stretch the legs. From Berry, cut across to Gerroa (good beach to learn to surf at 8) ) then up through Gerringong and Kiama, then all the way back to Homebush

Homebush to Berry via Hume Highway/Kangaroo Valley (first leg) is just under 3 hours
and Berry back to Homebush is around 2 hours, depending on Sydney traffic
(might have to zoom out a little  woops... )

Awesome Simon! with the ever increasing vote going towards the south coast this looks like the way to go. imm thinking we will stop at the 'great southern hotel' for some bush tucker and cinnamon donuts!

I'll elaborate on this one too :D

For anyone who hasn't been through Berry, and for those who have, there is a pub in the main street of Berry thats covered in old and new Hubcaps thats a popular tourist attraction, and a very well known pub throughout NSW

And... as for the donuts, just down the road is a caravan/trailer that has been converted into a donut store. They make their own donuts, usually to order (depending on how busy it is), and they are awesome! Good milk shakes/thick shakes too
