[Grill] - Nice or Rice?

Postby markii » Wed Mar 12, 2008 4:23 pm

Heya fellas,

I was a bit bored today at work... so..

Anyway's!

I was eating lunch & i spotted a nice golf GTI,
I was like hmmm.... i kind of like the idea of VW's red pinline on their grill.

So i went back to work, banged up 5 different sizes of pinlines & then i started messing with grill.. tried the front, middle, across the top, as well as bottom..

but i found what i thought was the sweet spot.

NICE or RICE?

I agree. I bought a spare MY07 grille and planned to black out/paint the chrome surrounds so that only the chrome arrow is left. Makes it stand out more. I reckon with the surrounds blacked out and your red line, it would stand out more and give it a bit more cohesion to it. You can even paint over the chrome arrow in the middle so that the red outlines an all black background.

i reckon it looks better than not being there... something different without modifying the grill at all.

haha thanks mate.. :)

All vinyl applicators can be removed..

If its for short term use, you just get a inexpensive vinyl that lasts 1-3 years rather then the "good stuff" which can last 6+ years.

Removing is simple, Heat Gun + Glue Remover, note: thats only if the vinyl is old, been installed for 2+ years.. If only 1 year old. should just peel off when your fingernail

but yes i can do it :)
