starter button

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

i heard that there's a downside to this...

if your car alarm battery goes flat....then the whole car is rendered useless as you wont have access to the car .... that is only if they only supply a fob and not a key....

i'm sure they are not that stupid but since not having seen one can't confirm nor deny

thanks for being the lab rat.....you'll have to hope that someone can actually buy this as a spare part from their spares department plus the keyless entry mod.....

Well...I'm pretty good friends with a couple of guys that can source parts from Japan...Quick question then...is the starter button only on '08 Legacy in Japan or do Aussie '08 liberties have them too?

Otherwise I'm sure Japan would offer a retrofit kit for the 07' Legacy!

Anyone on this forum have frequent contact with Subie guys in Japan.

Lets get the ball rolling on this one! I'm sure I could convience Tangcla to do a writeup for everyone, whilst I'm experimenting.

Parts I'm thinking will be needed...

New key fob
Transmitter/reciever
Starter button
Starter button surround
Some kind of plastic plug for ignition

Thoughts guys?

easiest way to explain it is for you to go out to your car. keep the car out of the ignition, then try turning the wheel.

it'll turn abit, then lock.

need key to unlock.

if you do try this, you might need to jiggle steering wheel to get it to unlock.
