for the wife to drive as well...and coz its a daily and cbf doing stick in traffic

im spoilt....
i have the 6 speed in the STI with a S/S kit and the paddles auto in the family wagon

they both serve their duty impeccably but the 6 speed is bullet proof...

Love the 5,500 rpm launch control in the STI..

When i was looking to buy i was open minded until i actually drove an auto, IMO auto was very borring compared to the manual, so i went manual.
But in saying that if i lived in sydney & had to put up with that traffic i to would probably go auto, the manual gives me the s##ts in slow traffic

Manual for me.

I believe you have to learn how to drive the car properly first, then auto later, as the knees start having osteoarthritis.

Mine is an auto because that is all that wa available for the '04.

Great condition '04 with 20,000klms at a great price, only concession being an auto. Easy choice.

I got an auto, only cos i got the car dirt cheap, so can't complain

i have the tiptronic as well and the steering wheel buttons, they go alright lol

AUTO convert.. drove manual for nearly 20 years and now LOVE auto.. especially in a car with plenty of poke.

btw there's yer 60

Manual (be it clutchless like BMW DCT/VW DSG) is the transmission for the future.

CVT is only good for mopeds and trains. It made less impact. I heard rumours that Subaru was developing one, I think they missed the boat if they are.

Coming from CBR, Im stuck in the daily commute to Campbell Offices from Parliment side. The stopping and starting would just pmo if i owned a manual.

However, manuals alway give me a buzz when on the hwy overtaking a P-plater doing 110.

Ha ha ha, I go from Theodore to Parly house each day down the Monaro Highway. Manual would do the same to me. The sportshift is fine when it comes to highway overtaking. I enjoyed it coming up the Clyde from the coast the other day too. :wink:
