hi peeps
i just replaced my mass air sensor in my 2007 liberty wagon 2.5 ltre auto
but have ran into an issue on the dash my engine warnning light and traction control lights
stay on also my cruise control light flashes can anyone suggest how to rectify this, ive tried to disconnect the battery over night as suggested but upon next day the car wont idle correctly ? any suggestions please

you're better off getting the ecu scan for code to know which code is throwing the error, than try to fix it blindly

thanks mate,
i have tried that aswell but still comes up wih the same code
also rectifys the problem but has retriggered the same fault several times?

As previously said, u need to find what code is being thrown e.g. "Low Input-Mass Air Flow" or "No Input-MAF"

Disconnecting the battery re-sets the codes so keep trying different things to diagnose. However getting a read-out of the code is obviously way easier. I would guess:
-dud sensor
-dodgy connection
-incorrect replacement sensor
The MAF sensor is very touchy, I ran into huge problems with mine because I replaced the pipe the MAF is mounted in with one that was 4mm smaller in diameter (65 to 61mm). Totally screwed up my supercharger build lol

thanks, had another scan friday and no codes came up so it had them baffled aswell ? although car run like a pig till i disconnected battery terminals over night car went like a dream over the weekend , went back into subaru as suggested the MAS was faulty so they replaced again 3 rd time lucky thanks for the heads up :D :D
