hmm seems to be a common problem with the early model gt's...had my CEL light and cruise control flash this morning while driving in to work.
from what i can tell from the research i was doing on legacygt.com that this can sometimes be caused by the fuel cap not being tightened probably after refueling the car...i have just filled up in the past day or so will check this when i get back to the car.
well should tightening the cap not work would resetting the ECU have any benefit at all, i would assume that doing this would be fine if there is nothing major wrong with the car but then should anything major be wrong the CEL light will simply reappear and i will get it checked by subaru in which case its probably an o2 sensor or AFM im guessing?
*woops seek and you shall find
http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.p ... =reset+ecu ... just put subaru octane booster in the car and this seems to have caused the faulty AFM / o2. NEVER AGAIN
