what do you think about the MARS lights??, i have been contemplating them for ages but im not sure on quality and how it would look with my colour

To be honest the LEDs work perfectly and look amazing, the fit is about 95% there, they poked out the bottom about 2mm however for the price they are a great alternative to the ugly stokies on our preface wags :D

Just get em powder coated in the TBSTi charcoal IMO unless you're really chasing the matt black look

Nah, go a satin black :)

Matt black base coat, clear coat for the top. will tie in nicely with the front lip!

Have a look at Adams (exh4u5t3d) wagon for some inspiration.

I really wouldn't bother painting those wheels.
Just buy a set of ultrex rims and swap your tyres over then sell the spec b rims to recoup some cost

yeah that wagon is awesome!!

strange thing happened when I drove my car for the first time since installing the lights, it had no power and felt like when I put my foot to the floor it would take forever to get to 4000rpm and then it would jolt forward and back, like there was something limiting the engine? the only other issue I had was cruise control wouldn't engage.

I've talked to mechanic since and he reckons it could be the new tails, apparently some Subaru's when a brake light is out they have a safety feature where the car is limited due to not having stop signals, he thinks that because they are LED they most likely aren't pulling as much current as the old globes, meaning the car thinks it has its stop signals out, I'll do a test this morning putting my old globes back in and seeing how it reacts, but if it is the LED tails do you think a simple resistor putt in series with the taillights will help this issue??

Speak to Nigel cos he had a similar issue where he swapped out some bulbs and got the same symptoms as you describe - you may need to swap them out again if you can't find a fix

Update, well not really, I've tried putting different resistors in to get my Mars LED tail lights working properly, I've followed instructions from Ric and still not working, I'm pretty disappointed with Mars product and their ability to help me out, they have no technical support it's just okay we send you some resistors they will fix it..... NOT! they don't know anything about their own product, end rant!!

Anyways thinking ill try get my money back and hopefully invest in some proper LED tails 8)
