WSID - Sydney Dragway Meet 3rd October 2012

Well done sujoy

No 11 for me tonight. First run was the best run at 12.54 i think. That was with hitting rev limiter about four times in first, three or four times in second, and boost cutting before the line in fourth. Car kept popping and spluttering after that in every run.

Found out it's got a crack in the wastegate pipe so that's whats causing my issues.

Stoked with a 12.54 gven those conditions, as my personal best of 12.21 was without these so I know the car has an 11 in it for certain once the wastegate pipe is fixed and boost cut removed

I think the success of the evening goes to Rome though- 12.74 I believe on his first ever trip to Wsid!!

Well done mate well deserved

Mick

Edit - here are my times for the night:

12.52 @ 108mph 1.83 60ft
12.55 @ 106mph 1.79 60 ft
12.56 @ 109mph 1.83 60 ft
12.62 @ 107mph 1.75 60ft
12.65 @ 105mph 1.77 60ft
12.68 @ 106mph 1.72 60 ft
12.70 @ 100mph 1.82 60ft

Damn that is heaps better than his first run! I wonder if the drag-bug has caught him too now.

edit - s#it you got heaps of runs in!! And your 60' times are good (although i suspect AWD helps?)

Yeah thanks jay

Sujoy the thing I'm spewing about is the 1.72 60ft was an awesome launch but it kept popping and spluttering and hit the limiter second to third shift. Would've been a very very low 12 or high eleven if it didnt do that :(

Congrats on the times guys, very good :)

Off topic tho, and I'm posting because I knew a few of you guys would be there, but anyone by any chance see a silver RX-7 get stolen from WSID tonight?

Was a great evening, pity we didn't get a few more libs turning up but thanks to Mick for organising and thanks Nigel and Jack for coming and taking photos/vids :D

Not quite 12.74 Mick....but 12.765 is just as good! So stoked! I honestly was aiming to hit 13 flat tonight, did not expect I'd go so quick! Was on my last run too :D

Mate that is downright unbelievable

I honestly though this shit would never happen there seeing as we're all car folk. Hell I even keep my car open while walking around in pre stage lanes

Very sad to see and hope he finds it

Rome you should be very proud brother that is an awesome result and shows the true power your car is making just like I suspected

hey guys, unfortunately i had a bit of shit luck last night, only got one run in , 11.94 @ 113 mph, in the staging lanes before my first run the car started to run on 3 cyl only, found an Open circuit injector in cyl 2, so drove back to Ingleburn on 3 cyl, stole an injector out of the other RS and drove back. car then did its first and only clean pass, after that the next launch broke something in the rear driveline, im suspecting broken spider gears but its yet to be confirmed.
hope everyone else had a good night, ill be back out in a ew weeks if anyone wants to come back out.
thanks, Ben.

Sorry to hear that Ben

My nephew told me he thought he heard something go on your car and went to look for you afterward but couldn't find you

Hope it's an easy fix mate - well done all the same

Will try make it early November again with some of the niggling issues fixed
