Power through firewall

Postby J0HNATH0N » Mon Oct 01, 2012 12:07 am

Hi guys. Had a quick search through the audio section but can anyone tell me where they wired their power wire through the firewall? Pics would be appreciated.

Thanks

Through the big ass grommet in the firewall next to the passenger side strut tower.

Relatively easy. Depending what gauge cable you are running.

Glove box doesnt have to come out. I ran mine by just removing the plastic trim from the passenger footwell and lying in the footwell upside down with my hand up there while a mate threaded the cable through from the engine bay. Just be careful when piercing a hole in the grommet not to nip any of the other cables going through that grommet.

Anything up to 4 gauge is a walk in the park. 0 gauge can be tricky depending on the quality and flexibility of the cable you are using.
