Help on new rims

Hey guys,

sorry if i'm evoking something that has already been mentioned on this forum.
I'm quite new here and i just purchased a 'Subaru Liberty 2.0R My07'

I was just wondering about the dimensions of my wheels as i would like to purchase new rims.
I've got 17" on stock at the moment. I understand i may have to roll guards or pull them but otherwise
is there anything else i would need to know? And what type of tires would fit these rims?
Whats recommended and whats not? I'm currently looking to fit on:
ROTA T2R 18 x 9.5, 35+ 5 x 100
or
Rota Gforce 18 x 9, +27, 18 x 10, +20, 5x114.3
or
XXr 527 17"/18"

The 18x10s are way to wide and +20 offset won't fit (I've been told this by a guy who tried it on his). Plus our fitment is 5x100.
The first ones would work, and depending on what XXR 527's you get (Nick the owner of Starrn on here) has 18x8.75s +35mm offset.
I'm about to get the exact same dimensions in a different wheel on my car and even at 8.75" wide I've been told guard rolling + camber will be needed.

Do be aware though, 9.5 inches wide will need either stretched tires, rolled/flared guards and/or negative camber. That is a huge wheel.

Don't strech your tyres! Roll you guards, put the correct sized tyres on and if required work on the camber...

Im running 8.5 +45 with 235/40/18 only had to roll the rear guards, a bit of neg camber in the front (coilovers) and the rear tyres sit about 10mm below the arch and zero rubbing.

Comparing my current tucked setup:
7.5" +55 w/ 215/45/18 (STi Enkeis stock alignment)

with Crusin's "perfect flush" setup

8.5" +45 with 235/40/18 (Work rims, rolled rear guards, neg camber in the front )

and finally some of the more gonzo pokey setups. ^^^
Unfortunately the calculators don't usually have camber emulation or guard simulation but that's what one's imagination is for!...

There is oem camber adjustment at the front (probably not enough), non at the rear.

You can buy camber bolts for the front and a rear camber kit from Whiteline, coilovers will have camber tops in the front if you do them.

Rolled guards are done in numerous places, google is your friend for your location.

I can do it in Melbourne.

Mark- have you got more specific details of your front/rear alignment setup?

im looking at exact size/offset wheels running a 235.. curious to exactly how much camber you are running..

im only gonna be running Bilsteins with s-techs so wont be stupid low, will have the rear whiteline camber adjust kit also..

Im running no rear camber on mine bar oem setup.

Fronts I will have to check the settings when it gets aligned tomorrow.
