Tale of woe....& joy

Postby jslayz » Wed Sep 26, 2012 10:13 pm

Whoa! I missed your post Ian.
Rest of car ok?

OK had all suspension mods installed on monday, effin loving the libby now!!
Things in the rear view mirror are small and get smaller with more bends.....:D
Gonna get corner balance soonas I can find someone who can do it.

On last Friday I lost my boost and was sad...

..apparently a piece of laminated wood had somehow found its way to the top of the motor and pushed the blowoff valve pipe off the inlet manifold

So spent a few hours getting this and the oil infeed leak I found sorted on Friday night, pics below:

Postby jslayz » Wed Sep 26, 2012 10:28 pm

Ok had local workshop attempt to fit my rear brembos with the cruising dogbones but the fukkkas didnt fit!
See pics below.
Was sold these as 2005 Brembos which clearly they are not.
Sanded and painted the too, what a waste of time! bummed as....

Great for my mate who has a forrester that will likely fit....
Now I need to get some more damn brakes!

However some good news is that my car only likes BP98 and has been running really well since I put it on the restricted diet of BP only.

First pic the calipers have a bleed nipple point on both sides of the caliper piston (obviously L or R) with one blocked and the pad pins are different to STi Brembos. Not STi ones.

Evo ones?

Just had a quick look around and 99.9% sure they're Nissan 350Z rear calipers.
