07 liberty wagon debadge

Postby scoobielibertywagon » Fri Sep 21, 2012 8:07 am

I want to remove the "liberty" badge off the back of my 07 liberty wagon. Ha anybody done it? Can I just remove te letters by hand or do I need a razor blade? I want to try and keep them all in tact. At there an holes behind the letters?

Cheers

Some heat and finger strenght got mine off. Then some turps/metho/rubbing alcohol to remove the glue. You'll want to give the area a cut and polish afterwards. Or get Hamish to do it for you 8)

Hair dryer / heat gun & some fishing line is apparently the way to go.

+1
Best and safest way.

Don't use razor blades, screwdrivers etc.. it'll screw up your clear coat.

Clean up with some polish then prep n wax area.

Fishing line can also scratch the clear. The badges pull off easy enough after a bit of heat, even if the car has been sitting in the sun.
