So $550 later I have my car back.
Belt $48
Tensioner $172
Air con bracket $165
Idler pulley $81
Labour $80

Also refitted the eyelids. Much better now but no pics yet

Hmm I figured as much. It has 170000ks now so I guess things are bound to start failing.

That's been the theory with the suspension and brakes so far :) but the centre diff what do you mod there ?

heavy duty diff kit? make it RWD? :lol:
also mine has done 185000ish and i have not had to replace anything like that. the clutch went about 12months ago but thats expected. nor does it seem anything needs replacing.
they just don't make em' like they use to ey...

Upgrade to a proper six speed from the facelift - no VCD ;)

Down shifting a little early perhaps lol

The VCD has been showing signs of binding for a fair while. It's just getting really noticeable now.

There are plenty of to choose from.

That would be nice but after a quick read of a few of Kiks rants ( which are quite informative ) it would be way way over the top for my car.

You're lucky to have gotten that much mileage out of yours - mine is rooted after only 113,000kms :(

Your best bet is to order straight from Phat, he's saving me around $900 (supply and install) - so maybe it may be worth driving up to his garage and book it in.

I think that will be the best solution by far. He is saving you $900. But what's the actual price so I know what I need to save for. Pm me the price if you would prefer.
