2012 Track Day - Friday 14th September UPDATED pg31

Thanks heaps Rome for today! Definitely a great first time out on the track for myself.

I managed to JUST make it home... I'll post up a photo of what is left of my rear Tyres. Needless to say they did the job... And literally nothing more !

I'll be ready for the next track day and hopefully I bring my nuts next time too :lol:

Ed firstly I feel so bad for what happened to you today man. Friggen shocking behavior on the mechanics behalf

Second no need to thank me mate I barely did anything and wish I actually could've made the day better - plus that's what we're all here for

Glad you got some compensation in the end

Far out man that's cutting it fine lol! Those tyres copped a battering

And I think this track day is gonna force me to build my 2.5 alot sooner and get anothtbe 100 atw

Damn porsche 911 turbo s making me come second!

excuse the quality but ill put up the proper HD version overnight or something. didn't realise the video editor compresses it so much. also forgive my noob steering technique but hey 50.901 for an RX is nothing to be sneezed at plus i was more or less getting the apex's

yep still coming. just have to edit out your second passenger as all you can see is helmet.

Haha yeah they copped it once I realised how to actually drive with them! That thing was actually a weapon. makes me want to get a supercharger kit sooner rather than later :twisted:

Thanks for coming everyone and contributing to what I think was a great success. I learnt how to swap my wheels :lol:

And how to melt street pads to my rotors...My car is going to be making grinding sounds all week until the rotors can get machined next weekend and I get my pads replaced! At least you know that meant I was trying :wink:

Ed sorry to hear about your problem but it's great that the mechanic has reimbursed you! PS I owe you a ride tomorrow

Really looking forward to the pics and videos!

- Again everyone that came, especially the spectators that took the trek to come out and watch us! (and go for hot laps :wink:

- Tony - BIG thankyou for letting me use your track wheels, without them I wouldn't have looked like I was straight out of the american forums and wouldn't have posted fast times! Also thanks for helping me out with advice and mechanical inspections!

- Michael May at Garage 88 for helping make my car go fast, and always putting up with my questions, as well as giving me a FULL service before track day!

I'm home! wow what a couple of weeks and topped it off with a fantastic day even the missus loved her few laps around the track (all be them slow she did well!)

I would happily go back to MTDC when the final hairpin/bank is finished would add to the top speed on the straight a fair bit and gary was a top bloke

Thanks for letting a new member and a vic attend was good fun!

It's a fun techincal circuit. It slowed the faster cars down a bit making my car look not so slow

Seems my fastest lap was my first lap lol! 45.39s. Only did two of the 'consistency' rounds and scored 22 and 11 points.
