its an open forum(ie no log-in/authentication required)... privacy is gold in this day in age, its amazing what people can achieve with a little personal information. Sites like myspace, facebook and online forums are potential feeding grounds for personal information and unfortunately there are some out there who collect and imitate for personal gain :evil:

I would like to think Im wrong, but billions of dollars spent each year protecting our information (why make it easy for them) :wink:

Thats a little paranoid, people have been putting their phone numbers in the local paper's classifieds for a long time. Even then it was their home phone number... If it becomes a problem change your mobile number...

Your right about all those Social Networking sites and you have to be careful but you still have to have a life.

She has arrived.....finally. Thay had it running on a turntable in one of the side rooms of the upstairs showroom....
Only issue so far is that although I supplied plates of my own, Docklands managed to give a plate fee to Vicroads, which shouldnt happen. The phone calls start already. The white letters on black plates look REALLY good on Diamond Grey, as I had hoped. A bit of double mounting to do at the front to get the plate centered on the bumper, and a spacer to go under the bottom edge of the rear plate to stop it vibrating when you shut the tailgate.

Might have to wait till weekend to get my grille fitted, but SpecB badge will go on tonight maybe..

Coyote - re the headrest, I am finding mine pushes my head fwd when the rest of me is comfortable - in fact I prefer not to feel the rest at all, and in the Outback, I was never even conscious of it at all. Looking at the steel rods, I reckon a new notch cut a bit lower might sort this out - bring on the angle grinder. Only problem is , would having it higher mean that in the event of being rear-ended, will the active thing go nuts and dong me on the head instead of supporting against whiplash? I suspect the cover can be removed, and maybe the padding changed? Unfortunately the rear rests wont work in the front seats. The only other issue so far is Docklands giving me the sh!ts - they took the Outback off me, no receipt, no money YET, and they charged me for plates when I supplied them.
Have the SpecB badge on and the JDM grille in now. Pics will follow...

Have you contacted Subaru about the headrests?

If you do and they tell you no-one else has complained, let them know you're aware they are lying. It hasn't just been me either.

I don't care anymore, mine are fixed. The seats are still shit though.

Yes I have told the salesman - he didnt recommend using the angle grinder though. I only really had the Dremel in mind. I find it improves their attitude to keep them on the back foot.

The salesman is just an employee of a franchise owner. Next week he'll be selling real estate and the franchisee will be buying a Coffee Club. Neither give two hoots now that they have your money.

Subaru Australia don't seem to much care either, but that's the place to direct your concerns with the product if you have any. The seats are just a personal thing, but the headrests are a design fault, you cannot obtain an optimal, safe driving position the way they are set.
