Dumb question I know, but would the US spec sensors be the same as the AUDM ones?

It seems the US didn't get the 3.0 engine before 2008?

have a detailed look at the site - they got the 3.0 in the outback before 2008 - same layout.

Part no's are different so I doubt it. Check with Denso and see if you can get the specs to compare against the AUDM sensors.

From memory, PHAT (michael) is holding the AUDM sensors in stock now.

look here http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/e ... tration_2/
and use partnumbers at #11 for cross fit - it is Europe but also left hand included. You don´t realy believe that Subaru will have 1000s of different O2 sensors - i have used this two sites many times to find the the right parts, and they fit.

Not sure if phat has got these in yet, been chasing a pair off him since late July.

Have any of you bought a pair off Denso (part 234-9047) and installed with no issues?

Using this site one can see what sensors "should" be OK for my car, but I can't see how/where one can cross reference the part number(s) to the part numbers on the http://www.densoproducts.com.site.

How is the car running now? Any difference?

It's been a week since driving the car with the new sensors fitted and via LV I can see that the fuel is being trimed in Closed Loop.

Also when I log, both sensors are almost identical in their display, whereas the old sensors used to be all over the place.

Overall the car feels better and less jerky at slow speeds.

Great. That proves the Densos from the US site will be fine for my car.

According to opposed forces the LHD and RHD Euro spec 3.0s (and by extension one would think the AUDM ones too) use the same (Subaru) part numbers. Denso part numbers are different of course but as you have reported they work.

I had concerns (now proved groundless) that there could be detailed differences in some parts for the USDM Legacies as they were locally assembled or built.

I installed the new Denso sensors from the US. They looked exactly the same as the old ones which I removed first.

I just did a long drive to see what changes there were in the fuel economy, and Ill cover that in the fuel consumption thread.

The car doesnt seem to be running any different.... maybe the old sensors were OK but given the new ones were quite cheap from the US it was a gamble I had to take in an attempt to sort out the fuel consumption issue.

The O2-sensors (after the cats) don´t have any effect to the fuel economy. If the AFR-sensors (before cats) are bad and work slowly or are destroyed you will have a bad fuel economy - after changing this AFR sensors to new one you will have a better economy again. The O2 sensors only prove the catalysator work.

It is the front ones I changed, the AFR sensors. I mistakenly referred to them as 02 sensors. There seems to be some improvement but that was different to my usual driving conditions. Ill keep monitoring and post an update.

Does anyone know if the 02 sensors are the same for pre and post facelift?
