I really love this photo Jack, got a higher res you can share on imgur.com?
I'm assuming this is some sort of HDR long exposure?

+1 Great effect, yeah it's long exposure.

This guy does quite a bit of the same technique, if you're ever up at sunrise Jack I'd love to see the results :)

mine most certainly are not HDR. i actually have a personal hate for HDR :bad:

but with all arts, its 100% personal taste otherwise it would all be the same

don't get me wrong, contrast is my best friend. but taking 3 photos then overlaying them for High Dynamic Range is crap. people ALWAYS over do it and it looks fake. again personal taste. i like real looking things, just like my taste in women

Me too, but there are time and places for HDR - just not the over-the-top cartoony ones. You can use HDR for very natural photos.

yeah but never going back there! had so many weirdo's! one guy just kept driving back and forth through my shoot. one guy just came along and nearly drove into the river. one guy decided he would show us what his sirion could do by doing a handbrake turn then skidding around the corner. one guy just stood to the side watching us next to his truck. birds live under the bridge and within 30seconds they shat all over the alfa, we spent 15mins just trying to clean it off. worst location yet!
