noob wheel fitment question

That would be even less flush.

Find some pics of libs that you think have nice wheel fitment and then go from there trying to find wheels you like in the same specs.

The lower the offset, the further the wheels stick out.....

IMO, 8.5 +45 is perfect for the Gen4 as you can lower it nicely without running silly camber and have no issues with scrubbing. Rear guards only need rolling.

8.5" +45 brings the wheel out a distance whatever it is, where as 8" +44 will bring the centre of the wheel out 1mm but you loose 6mm (quarter of an inch) due to the narrower rim... Ends up being 5mm less flush.

There's a few pictures of about 8" +42 around which isn't flush but looks good IMO, far better than standard, this equates to about +48 offset on a 8.5" rim.

my advise would be to stick with 8.5. my rims are currently 8" +42(or 44..cant rememeber) only because i cant find another set of 8.5" i like. u'd be surprised how much meaner that half an inch looks.

i know this is going to require some arch work but how much for something like 18x8.75 +35 all round?....

would that stick out heaps?...which means if i wanna lower it i would need to camber the wheels?

XXR 527s?

It'll look silly unless you lower it, run camber and you'll have to roll the guards. Nick (nickk__is) recently installed 18x8.75 +35 fronts (rears are +20). Have a look, his pictures will give you a good idea.
